Archie 27 by Mark Waid, Audrey Moy, Kelly Fitzpatrick & Jack Morelli – When we last left our favorite teens, both Archie and Betty were forced to make decisions. The aftermath starts now as both Veronica and Dillion make decisions of their own. Angst and drama cut with humor in the Waid style.
Wildstorm: Michael Cray 4 by Bryan Edward Hill, Warren Ellis, Larry Hama, N Steven Harris, Dexter Vines, Andy Owens, Simon Bowland & Dearbhla Kelly – Fractures were bound to happen with Cray’s team given that a) he never wanted a team & b) the nature of their work. Well, this is kind of a bad time for friction since they have to take down a cop by the name of Barry Allen. Name sounds familiar huh?
New Super-Man 19 by Mariko Tamaki, Brent Peeples, Richard Friend, Hi-Fi & Dave Sharpe – Let’s have a fun day in the life issue featuring our new favorite reporter Laney Lan. On top of that, we’ll show her interactions with Kenan AND have it written by Mariko Tamaki. Yep. Gold.

Payoff for all this character work is about to bear fruit as we go reverse 90’s Dawn of the Dead here. In story 2, Morocco and Secret are still bickering and Agent Bea wants to get the job done. Too bad about the murderous bikini babe squad then.

Champions 16 by Mark Waid, Humberto Ramos, Victor Olazaba, Edgar Delgado & VC’s Clayton Cowles – A longtime staple in some of my favorite Waid books is a membership drive. Layered storytelling leads to fun reading.
The Wild Storm 11 by Warren Ellis, Jon Davis-Hunt, Steve Buccellato & Simon Bowland – We get a further look into I.O. in this issue as Craven’s paranoia sees him “having enemies” everywhere. Luke Cage 169 by David F. Walker, Guillermo Sanna, Marcio Menyz & VC’s Joe Sabino – Buried by a cave in. Surrounded by mind ensorcelled inmates & civilians.
